Visuals by Impulse is leading the way with animated designs for your stream.
This article will briefly explain how to add animated graphics to your stream to give your broadcast some flair and grab your viewers' attention.
Before we get into it, keep in mind-
- Static graphics are not animated. They do not move, pulse, wiggle, or any other of the countless types of animations you can have VBI design for you.
- Animated graphics are a complex design process. The motion design team at VBI is ready and waiting to take on your project today. If you are looking to get a custom design, and want it animated, you'll need to get the static design completed first, our motion design team will design the animations to your project. Fill out our custom order form to get your custom design started.
- Browse the VBI store for our collections for a wide range of designs.
Adding Media Sources
These instructions will work for animated overlays, webcams, and screens (starting, be right back, etc).
Static design overlays, webcams, and screens are added as IMAGE SOURCES in OBS or Streamlabs OBS.
Animated design overlays, webcams, and screens are added as MEDIA SOURCES and must be a video file (mp4, WebM, etc.)
1.) Click on the "+" button under Sources to add a source.
2.) Select MEDIA SOURCE. (Your design will not be an image source, as it is animated)
3.) YOU MUST MAKE SURE "LOOP" IS CHECKED. Otherwise, the animation will not work. Adjust other settings, if desired.
4.) Browse your file explorer and add the file for the custom design from your saved files on your PC.
5.) Click OK. You should now see the animated image in your preview.
6.) Adjust the size and placement of the graphic to fit your needs.
7.) Repeat for all other animated overlays you wish to add.
That's it! Thanks for reading!
